Kavoor: In a shocking incident, a husband allegedly killed his wife by pushing her into a stone quarry near  Bajpe on Wednesday, July 1.

The deceased is identified as Shanta, wife of Ganesh hailing from Hasan, and was working as a Tipper Lorry driver in Kavoor. It is learned that the couple has two kids.

As per sources, the couple recently moved to a rented house in Kavoor. However, due to the problems between the couple, Shanta was living in her mother’s house in Kasaragod for the past few days. Shanta shifted back to her husband’s house as the issue was sorted.

It is gathered that Ganesh has taken Shanta out and they did not return home on Wednesday and he confessed about the crime on the next day. Shanta’s mother informed the police about the incident.

A case has been filed in the nearby police station in this regard.
