KBC 12: When Big B said “Yeh toh parivarik baat ho gyi ab” to Udupi’s Ravi Katapadi

Udupi: Ravi Katapadi, a social worker from Udupi featured in the Karamveer special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati alongside Actor-director Anupam Kher who joined as a special guest in Friday’s episode.

In the course of the show when Katapadi revealed that his hometown is just an hour away from Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s, the KBC host hilariously said: “Yeh toh parivarik baat ho gyi ab.” Big B then greeted the people of Udupi in Tulu.

 

 

 

The Karamveer episode, that was aired on January 15 featured Ravi Katpadi and Pabiben Rabari. While Ravi Katapadi, a daily wage labourer is well-known for his philanthropic activities in the coastal town of Karnataka, Pabiben Rabari is a tribal Rabari woman who works as an entrepreneur and runs Pabiben.com, an artisan enterprise that empowers tribal women to become independent and keeps the Rabari embroidery tradition alive.

Together the duo won Rs 25 lakh, which would be distributed equally amongst them.
