Team Udayavani, Sep 9, 2023, 8:51 AM IST

In a commendable initiative, the Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has announced the distribution of free laptops to deserving first and second PUC students for the academic year 2023-24. This generous program aims to support the education of eligible registered construction workers’ children.

The selection process for these free laptops will be based on the merit of the students. Students with the highest marks will be given priority. In cases where multiple students have equal scores, the seniority of the beneficiary’s registered membership will be taken into consideration.

Interested students are encouraged to apply promptly, as the application deadline is set for September 22. For more details and application forms, individuals can visit the Labor Officer’s Office located in D.K. Sub-Division-1 & 2, Mangalore, on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Karmikha Bhavan in Yeyyady. Alternatively, concerned individuals may contact their respective Senior or Labor Inspector’s office for further assistance.
