Keep track of travellers coming from Bengaluru to villages: BSY to DCs

Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa held a virtual meeting with concerned authorities of various districts to discuss the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic
BS Yediyurappa instructed the district collectors to keep track of travellers coming from Bengaluru to villages and provide Covid-19 patients with medical kits. Patients opting for home isolation must be offered doctor consultation and timely check-ups
Also, in border districts, hospitals are filled with patients from Maharashtra and other places. District authorities must take strict action in this regard, he opined
Talking about the current situation of the state, BS Yediyurappa said, ” Testing should be focused on all symptomatic persons and the results must be given within 24 hours. Ensure timely oxygen supply to hospitals and hospitals must conduct an audit of oxygen and Remdesivir vials”
In the meeting, all ministers, including the Chief Minister were requested to donate salaries of one year and one month by all legislators towards Covid management in Karnataka.
District in charge ministers, Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police of districts, and Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Panchayats, health and family welfare officers, and directors of government medical colleges were also present in the meeting
