Kemmannu: Ganapathi Sahakari Vyavasayaka Sangha to unveil ‘Shatabhivandanam’ offering on Oct 27

Udupi: Celebrating its centennial year, Kemmannu’s Ganapathi Sahakari Vyavasayaka Sangha, established in 1923 by the late P. Venkata Krishna Rao and the late Janab Ali Saheb will mark the conclusion of its “Shatabhivandanam” anniversary celebration on October 27. The grand event will take place from 8 AM to 6 PM at Kemmannu St. Philomena Pre-University College grounds, said the Society’s President, T. Satish Shetty, at a press conference.

The event will be inaugurated by Dr. M. N. Rajendra Kumar, President of SCDCC Bank, with former Lokayukta Justice N. Santosh Hegde lighting the ceremonial lamp. Dr. Ashok Pai, President of Dr. TMA Pai Foundation, will unveil various contributions. The event will be presided over by T. Satish Shetty, with blessings imparted by Rev. Fr. Philip Neri Aranha, parish priest of Kemmannu St. Theresa Church.

Jayaprakash Hegde and Pramod Madhwaraj, Managing Director of Kanchan Hyundai Prasadaraj Kanchan, Dr. Muhammad Rafiq from Hoode Beach Healing Center, Deputy Registrar of Udupi Cooperative Societies Lavanya, Assistant Registrar of Kundapur Cooperative Societies Renuka G.S., SCDCC Bank Directors Dr. Deviprasad Shetty Belapu, Ashok Shetty Bellampalli, Rajesh Rao Pangala, Principal of Kemmannu PU College Lakshminarayana Rao, former Chairman of Urban Development Authority Janardhan Tonse, President of Tonse Gram Panchayat Kusuma Ravindra, President of Kalyanpura Gram Panchayat Nagaraj Kundar, President of Tenkanidiyur Gram Panchayat Shobha D. Nayak, and President of Badanidiyur Gram Panchayat Yashoda Acharya, will be in attendance.

Honours and Support Initiatives

The event will honor retired Assistant Registrar of Kundapura Cooperative Societies Arun Kumar S.V., senior cooperative member Sarala B. Kanchan, soldier Kishan, former presidents, directors, and retired staff of the society.

On the occasion, various contributions will be made to community initiatives, including donations to local schools and societies. The celebration also includes programs for health awareness, blood donation camps, and sports competitions organized for cooperative and Navodaya participants, informed Satish Shetty.

Cultural Events and Schedule

The day will begin with a flag hoisting at 8 AM, followed by a cooperative awareness rally led by social worker Veronica Cornelio at 9 AM. Cultural programs like Yakshagana and musical performances by Tonse Pushkala Kumar, along with a magical show by Kudroli Ganesh, are also planned to add vibrancy to the event.

In attendance at the press conference were Society’s Vice President B. Afzal Saheb, Director Raghavendra Prasad, CEO Mahesh Salian, and Branch Manager Kishore Shetty.
