Kerala court lifts ban on ‘Varaha Roopam’ song from Kantara

In a major setback to the Kerala band, Thaikkudam bridge, Kozhikode District court has reportedly lifted the ban against the ‘Varaha Roopam’ song from Kantara.
Kerala-based music band Thaikkudam Bridge had accused the Kantara team of plagiarism. They pointed out that the song Varaha Roopam from Kantara is a copy of their song, Navarasam.
The court had earlier ruled in favor of the Thaikudam bridge and had imposed an interim injunction against the song.
However, on Friday, the court dismissed the plea citing a lack of jurisdiction.
