Banned secessionist group ‘Sikhs For Justice (SFJ)’ has claimed that the Khlistani flags hoisted at Himachal Pradesh Assembly gates were sent through its activist who participated in the Kejriwal Jansabha as a vendetta for luring its members.
A report in India Today said that SFJ has released a video, claiming that Khalistan flags that were planted at Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha at Dharamshala were sent through Sikh activists who went with Bhagwant Mann to participate in an Arvind Kejriwal Jansabha at Mandi.
“Since Kejriwal-Mann lured pro-Khalistan Sikhs into donating over $6 million to AAP during the Punjab election, SFJ will use activists who are close to CM Bhagwant Mann to promote the Khalistan Referendum,” the report quoted SFJ general counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannun as saying in the video.
“Khalistan flags at Dharamshala is a clear message to CM Jai Ram Thakur that Himachal Pradesh will be reclaimed through Khalistan Referendum and once again will be part of Punjab,” Pannun said.
In a big provocation, Khalistan flags were found tied on the main gate and wall of the state assembly in Dharamshala on Sunday.
The incident had led to a war of words between AAP and the ruling BJP. AAP had blamed the government for failing to prevent the incident.
Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur promised strict action against the culprits. Police formed a special investigation team (SIT) headed by a DIG-rank officer to probe the case.
