KIA police arrest man for smoking in flight

Bengaluru: Kempegowda International Airport police on Saturday arrested a person after he was caught smoking in the lavatory of an Air Asia flight from Bagdora Airport to Bengaluru.
The arrested, Suresh Kumar, a Kanyakumari resident is employed at a private firm.
As per reports, the smoke triggered a fire alarm aboard the flight and upon checking the cabin crew found that Kumar was smoking in the lavatory. Moreover, he created a scene when the cabin crew confronted him for endangering the lives of fellow passengers.
After the flight landed at the airport, the crew lodged a complaint following which Kumar was arrested by police. The police also recovered a lighter from him.
Kumar was booked for endangering the lives of other air passengers, criminal intimidation and various other sections of the IPC. He has been remanded in judicial custody
