Kidnapped girl’s body found near her house

Udupi: In a sad turn of events, the body of the kidnapped two-year-old girl child was recovered on Friday afternoon from near Kubja river barely one and a half kilometer away from her house.

On Thursday, two unidentified persons had abducted the girl child when was sleeping beside her mother at their house. Though her mother had tried to chase the abductors they managed to give her a slip by jumping into the Kubja river. The girls’ father, who is employed as a security guard was away on night duty at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile the police are trying to ascertain the cause for the child’s death.

An investigation is ongoing.
