Kinnigoli: Woman killed, 3 others injured as jeep overturns

‎Kinnigoli‎‎: ‎‎A young woman was killed and three others injured when a jeep in which they were traveling skidded and overturned at Sankalakariya in Mundkur on Sunday evening (June 19).‎

At the time of the accident, there were five people in the jeep. The jeep was driven by one identified as Bhaskar. The injured were rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru, where the woman breathed her last.

The construction work is underway on the Athrady-Bajpe road. Unaware of the construction work, the jeep driver failed to notice the steep turn, and the jeep overturned, sources said.

Karkala rural police visited the spot and are investigating the matter.
