Kite festival at Malpe

Udupi: A beach kite festival and various cultural programmes will be organized at Malpe beach on Dec 31st, said Udupi deputy commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis.
She was speaking after presiding over the preliminary meeting in connection to the organising of the beach kite festival at the deputy commissioner’s office, on Saturday.
Almost 40 persons will be flying a variety of attractive kites from 10 am in the morning to 6 pm in the evening and it will be followed by the flying of a LED balloon. A workshop and a seminar on the preparation of kites will be held for the interested. At midnight around 12 pm there will be an attractive fireworks show, informed the DC.
