Madikeri: The Kodagu police have busted a criminal network of selling hashish oil (a glue-like drug made from cannabis) and arrested 3 persons involved in the crime.

The accused have been identified as Ahmed Kabir (37) of Kasaragod, Abdul Khader (27), and Mohammad Mujamil (27) of Kanhangad. About 1.160 kg of hashish oil worth Rs 10 lakh was seized from them, police added.

District Superintendent of Police M. A. Ayyappa told reporters that the arrests were made on August 29 when the trio was moving in a Maruti Suzuki Celerio car from Kerala via Karike. As they were acting suspiciously, the vehicle was inspected and the contraband was found, he added.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the accused under the provisions of the NDPS act at the Bhagamandala Police Station.
