Kodagu: Police seize over 1.7 kg of ganja, arrest multiple individuals in extensive operation

In a meticulously planned operation carried out under the jurisdiction of various police stations in Kodagu District, law enforcement authorities successfully confiscated a total of 1.702 kg of ganja and nine prohibited ISD narcotic drugs.

Acting on a credible tip-off, the police swiftly conducted a raid at a home stay located in Makkandoor village, near the city. During the operation, authorities seized 414 grams of ganja and nine prohibited ISD drugs from the premises. The individuals arrested in connection with this raid include Ritik (23), Vignesh Ajit Anchan (21), Suman Harshith (26), Chirag Sanil (26), Manjunath (30), Lathish Nayak (32), Sachin (26), Rahul (26), Prajwal (32), Avinash (28), Pratik Kumar (27), Dhanush (28), Rajesh (45), and Dil Raju (30). All the arrested individuals are natives of Mangaluru.

Furthermore, the police arrested B Ganesh (47), a resident of Madikeri, who was identified as the middleman involved with the home stay. Sadashiva B H (31), the owner of the home stay, was also taken into custody.

In a separate raid, law enforcement authorities apprehended Alim Ahmed and Mohsin, both natives of Mysuru, who were found selling narcotics at Kannandabane junction. The police seized a total of 724 grams of ganja from the accused individuals.

Additionally, Imran, a resident of Channaiahnakote, was arrested, and 190 grams of ganja were confiscated from him.

The police arrested Shameer, Jabbar, and Nisar, all residents near Gonikoppa Cauvery College, for their involvement in the transportation and sale of ganja. A total of 370 grams of ganja were seized from the trio.

Lastly, Sagar, Rehman, and Chethan K, residents of Madikeri, were apprehended near Mahila Samaja while smoking ganja.
