Kollur: Gold ornaments stolen from family’s bag during visit to temple

A couple hailing from Manangodi in Sharada Nagar, Kasaragod, Kerala, experienced a distressing incident during their visit to the revered Shree Mookambika Temple in Kollur.
The family, accompanied by their children, lodged a complaint at the Kollur police station, reporting the theft of 13.5 pawan gold ornaments from a small purse kept inside the bag.
On June 4 the couple, Praveena and Vanishree headed for the darshan of Sri Kollur Mookambika Devi.
Upon completing their darshan, Vanishree discovered that the bag had been left open, and the small purse containing the gold ornaments was nowhere to be found.
The estimated value of the stolen items is approximately Rs 4.75 lakh. The Kollur police have promptly registered a case in response to the incident.
A case has been registered.
