Konaje: Bike rider run over by tractor

Ullal: A bike rider died after being run over by a tractor on Monday, June 22 afternoon near Hoohakuvakallu’s Punyakoti Nagar within Konaje police station limits.

The deceased bike rider was the driver of the tractor which ran over him. He had taken leave on Monday and the tractor was driven by a replacement driver.

A replacement driver who was working on a road excavation site at a house near Punyakoti Nagar hit the bike while driving on the Mudipu-Manjanadi link road. The tractor lost control and ran over the head of the topple bike rider.

Konaje and Mangaluru South traffic police personnel arrived at the spot and sent the dead body for post mortem.
