Konaje: CFI activists protest against National Education Policy 2020; several arrested

Mangaluru: Campus Front Of Karnataka on Monday staged a protest opposing the National Education Policy (NEP) implemented by the state at Mangalore University.
Mangalore university organised an awareness programme on the new policy for all stakeholders on August 30. Minister for Higher Education C.N. Ashwath Narayan has also been invited to address stakeholders.
The protestors tried to lay siege to the auditorium during the inauguration ceremony.
Police officials tried to stop the protesters, but as the protest intensified, cops were forced to arrest more than 50 activists.
All roads leading to the university were blocked by the police officers.
