Konaje drugs case: Police officials arrest two Nigerian nationals

Mangaluru: Police officials have arrested two Nigerian nationals in connection with the two drugs case registered under Konaje Police station limits.
The accused identified as Paul Ohamobi alias Ifechuku and Uchechuku Malaki Yelakwachi were arrested from Bengaluru.
On June 3, Konaje police and CCB officials arrested three peddlers from Uppala. The arrested identified as Mohammed Munaf, Mohammed Muzambil, and Ahammed Masooq were found to be in possession of MDMA crystals weighing 170 gram worth Rs 10 lac.
On June 13, Police arrested two drug smugglers — Shafeeq and Altaf — and seized MDMA worth Rs 3,90,000 from their possession at Melkar here.
The worth of confiscated items in these two cases is around Rs 24,82,000. During the interrogation of these accused, they revealed that they procured drugs from Stanley Chima from Nigeria and Mohammed Rameez from Uppala.
Accused Stanley Chima then revealed that he procured drugs from Paul Ohamobi Ifechuku and Uchechuku Malaki Yelekwachi of Bengaluru.
The operation was led by city police commissioner Shashi Kumar and Hariram Shankar DCP (law and order).
