Konkani literary event ‘Gramaloka’ held at Badiyadka

A noteworthy Konkani Literary program called “Gramaloka” took place at the Badiyadka Culture Bhavan in Kasaragod on July 21.
The event was organized by Kendra Sahitya Akademi, and it witnessed the esteemed presence of Dr. Kasturi Mohan Pai, an expert in Konkani literature and language, who presided over the gathering.
Melvin Rodrigues, the Coordinator of the Konkani Department at Kendra Sahitya Akademi, took the stage to provide the audience with a concise overview of the Gramaloka program’s significance and purpose.
The event proved to be a platform for talented young writers to showcase their literary prowess. Venkatesh Nayak, Shweta Pai Manjeswara, and Roshan graced the occasion by reading their periodical poems, captivating the attendees with their poetic expressions. Additionally, Stani Bela presented a gripping short story, adding variety to the literary offerings of the evening.
During the program, D Shankara, a representative of the Badiyadka Gram Panchayat, expressed gratitude to the administration of Kendra Sahitya Akademi for selecting their humble village of Badiyadka as the venue for the prestigious Gramaloka program.
The event’s success and recognition meant a lot to the local community, highlighting the significance of regional literature and culture.
