Koppa: Alleged case of ‘Love Jihad’ reported, victim files police complaint

Chikkamagaluru: An alleged case of ‘Love Jihad’ is reported from Koppa taluk, where a girl has complained of suffering mental and physical abuse by a boy from the same taluk.
Reportedly, the victim who is basically from Koppa taluk is pursuing her academics at a private college in Karkala taluk.
Through social media, a boy named Mohammed Rauf contacted the victim.
As per her complaint to the Harihara Police, Rauf and his friends had come to Karkala to meet her and take her to lunch. On the way to the hotel, she was allegedly given a drug-infused juice to drink. She said that Rauf and his friends had misbehaved with her and recorded a video of it.
She alleged that he had forced her to come with him and on refusal, Rauf’s friend had threatened of sharing the video on social media.
She also alleged that for three years she was given obnoxious chemicals and then sexually abused.
She said that she was also threatened for life by showing a knife and acid if she did not listen to them.
In her complaint, she alleged that Rauf had forcefully married her and blackmailed her.
