Koppal: In a shocking incident a toddler was was roughed by an Anganwadi assistant for allegedly coming late to the centre at Gundoor village in Kanakagiri taluk.

Reportedly, Anganwadi assistant Sharanamma behaves rudely with other children of the centre as well.

Though the local residents had asked Sharanamma to treat the children in a polite manner, she used to abuse children with her temper. Fed up with her behaviour with children the local youths recorded a video of her roughing up children and shared it on the social media platform. The same video has gone viral.

Following the incident, the Kanakagiri CDPO Shweta informed that the issue will be looked into and appropriate action will be initiated if the video is found true.
