Pramod Muthalik, the founder of Sri Rama Sena, ignited controversy with his recent remarks regarding religious institutions and government policies. Speaking in Koppala on Monday, Muthalik asserted that “approximately three thousand churches” across the nation are “operating illegally” and advocated for their “demolition through the use of bulldozers.”

Accusing certain groups of exploiting the innocence of the Lambani people for conversion to Christianity, Muthalik likened conversion to a “virus” and “cancer” in the country, advocating for strict enforcement of laws against conversion.

Furthermore, Muthalik criticized the Congress government in the state for allegedly adopting an “anti-Hindu stance” in various policies. He accused the government of favoring Muslims over Hindus and questioned their reluctance to support Hindu festivals and religious institutions adequately.

Muthalik also expressed dissatisfaction with the allocation of grants, particularly highlighting the perceived lack of funding for the construction of Ram Mandirs.

He warned against criticism of Lord Rama, stating that such remarks would “incur curses.”
