Koppala: Birthday celebrations are not uncommon but celebrating the birthday of a calf is. A farmer here is yet another example of an animal lover flabbergasting us by celebrating his calf’s birthday with a cake and a pooja.
Jagadish Chatti, a farmer from the district had bought an HF cow which gave birth to a female calf on December 26, 2019, on the day of the solar eclipse. Following the birth of the calf, Jagadish claims his life became celebratory.
Since the calf was born on solar eclipse day, they named it Kankini.
Worshipping cows and cattle is a common practice in India however, Chatti’s love and devotion for Kankini is matchless as he dressed her in colourful new clothes and celebrated her birthday with a cake along with other family members.
The farmer’s affection towards his calf has caught everyone’s attention.
