Koratagere: Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara was injured after a stone accidentally fell on him during a campaign rally here on Friday. The incident took place near Bairanahalli Cross in Koratagere Taluk, where the politician was holding a public meeting, sources said.
Police sources said that flowers were being showered on Dr. Parameshwara using an earthmover (JCB) when a piece of stone accidentally fell on his head, injuring him.
The former DCM was immediately rushed to the nearby Akkirampura Primary Health Centre for first aid, before being taken to Tumkur for further treatment, source added.
Due to the incident, Dr Parameshwara cancelled his campaign midway, police sources added.
