Kota double murder case: Bail granted to five accused

Kundapur: The additional district and sessions court here granted bail to five persons named as accused in the murder Yatiah Kanchan and Bharat Poojary at Manuru, Kota on January 26 this year, which has come to be popularly known as Kota double murder.

Justice Narahari Marathe, who was hearing the arguments for and against the bail application, granted bail to Santosh Kunder, Mohammed Taufiq, policeman, Veerendra Acharya, Pavan Ameen, and college student, Pranav Rao.

It may be recalled that 18 persons were arrested in relation with this case and out of them, the high court had granted bail to Raghavendra Kanchan and Ritish M Karkera in July. With the current bail, seven persons have got bail in the case so far.
