Kota double murder case: Five more accused held

Udupi: Police on Monday, February 11 arrested five more persons including a student in connection with the Kota double murder case thus taking the total number of arrests in the case to 13.
Abhishek alias Abhi Palan (23) from Udupi, Santosh Kunder (35) from Barkur, Nagaraj (44) of Brahmavar, Pranav Rao (20) of Bhadravathi and Shankera Mogaveera (41) of Shankernarayana are the arrested persons. Earlier the police have arrested eight persons, including a BJP leader and two police constables in connection with the case
It is learnt that Abhishek was directly involved in the murder while the other four assisted him in the crime.
As per a police release Pranav, one of the arrested persons is a final year B.Com student and faces charges of supplying money and mobile to the accused.
The arrested were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody till February 15.
Bharath Kumar and Yatish were hacked to death on January 26 over the issue of a dispute regarding drainage pit.
