Kota: Mother of Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Kota Srinivas Poojary passes away

Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha MP Kota Srinivas Poojary’s mother, Lachi Poojarthi (97), a resident of Kotathattu in Kota, passed away on June 30 due to age-related health issues. She is survived by her son, Kota Srinivas Poojary, and two daughters.

Lachi Poojarthi was a distinguished farmer. Throughout his political career, MP Poojary would visit his mother to seek her blessings at every significant milestone. He would also bring her along to vote during elections, often acknowledging her vital role in his success.

Condolences from Dignitaries

Several dignitaries have expressed their condolences, including Kundapura MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi, Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna, Kaup MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, Byndoor MLA Gururaj Gantihole, Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar, and businessman Anand C. Kunder. Numerous other state and national-level dignitaries have also conveyed their sympathies.
