Kota police arrested 24 persons involved in gambling during a raid and confiscated cash and goods worth more than 8 lakhs from them.
Police identified the accused to be Abdul Muneer, Salman, Basavaraja, Vishnu K V, Dinesh, K Vinayaka Sandeepa, Krishna, Sudhakara, Nagaraja, Subrahmanya, Sridhara E Antony Mascharenhas, Shrithiraj, Raghu, Hussain, Sandesh, Raju Mogera, Gopala, Ganesh, Mithun, Sudharma, Kamalaksha and Sudhakar.
A team led by Kota PSI Shambulingaiah raided the illegal gambling den near Vinayaka Hall at Guddeyangady Cross of Molahalli in Kundapura based on a credible tip.
Cash worth Rs 1,49,680, a deck of playing cards, tables and chairs, 3 cars, and 5 two-wheelers were seized during the operation, police said.
