Udupi: Minister for Ports and Fisheries and Muzrai Kota Srinivas Poojary has sought that an obsolete or dysfunctional airframe be allotted for display at Dr. Kota Shivaram Karanth Theme Park at Kota in Udupi district.

Poojary met Union Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum requesting him to allot an obsolete airframe for display at the park.

In the memorandum, Poojary has stated that several tourists from across the country participate in the 10-day cultural festival held at the park annually. Besides this, hundreds of students visit the Karanth Theme Park almost daily on a study excursion tours. “As no such airframe was available for display in the entire coastal Karnataka, the allotment of such an airframe, a symbol of patriotism, would add to the beauty and meaning of Karanth festival,” he said.
