Kota: One of the youths, injured in the collision between 3 motorbikes Kodi Kanyana-Parampalli Padukere main road on October 15, tragically breathed his last at a hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Ravi Poojary (30), a 30-year-old mechanic and the sole support of his family.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 PM on Sunday evening. Prashantha, traveling at high speed on his bike from Kodi Kanyana towards Padukere, collided with a parked car, veering abruptly to the right. The out-of-control motorbike collided with 2 bikes, one driven by Ravi Poojary en route from Kodi Kanyana to Padukere and another driven by Charan, who was approaching from the opposite direction.
The impact sent all three motorcycles sprawling onto the road.
Ravi and Charan, sustained severe injuries to their neck and chest, while Prashanth suffered a hand injury. All three were admitted to a private hospital in Manipal for treatment.
Police investigations reveal that the accident was primarily caused by the car driver’s negligent parking, failing to provide warning signals, and Prashanth’s excessive speed and recklessness.
A case has been registered in this regard at the Kota Police Station.
