Kotekar: Theft at KEB office

Ullal: Lakhs of rupees stored at the ATP machine in the KEB sub office has been stolen by robbers. The incident which took place at the office near Kotekar along the National Highway 66 came to light on Sunday morning April 7th.
The Rs 1,93,000 which was collected from the customers on Friday remained deposited in the ATP machine. Since Saturday was a bank holiday, the amount was not transferred to the bank.
Late on Saturday night, the thieves cut open the shutter and broke open the door to gain access to the office and the cash. The equipment used in the crime were found left in the location.
A case has been registered at Ullal police station based on KEB engineer Praveen’s complaint. Fingerprint experts and the canine unit have visited the location and carried investigation.
