Kottigehara: Missing man’s body found half buried in forest; Murder suspected

Kottigehara: The mortal remains of 46-year-old Nagesh Achar from Baloor were found in a forested area near Bidirutala on Tuesday evening.

After Nagesh who had gone for work did not return home, his wife Suma Baloor lodged a missing complaint with the police. A massive search was launched involving police personnel and more than 100 villagers to locate the missing man. After three days of search, Nagesh’s decomposing body was found in a half-buried state around 1 km from the Bidirutala village.

Police are investigating the case and have sent the mortal remains to Hassan for an autopsy.

Wife alleges murder:

Meanwhile, Nagesh’s wife, Suma Baloor, has lodged a police complaint accusing three persons — Krishnagowda, Pradeep, and Uday from Baloor — of killing her husband. Baloor Police have taken the three accused into custody for questioning.
