KSRP promotes women constables for the first time

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) created history on Tuesday by promoting 72 of its women constables.
The women personnel were promoted to the rank of Head Constable (HC).
Another record was also created when one woman was promoted to the HC rank after only 3.4 years of service as constable.
Additionally, two other woman constables were promoted after more than 20 years of service while 34 constables were promoted after more than 5 years of service.
