Bengaluru: 32 passengers in  Hyderabad-bound KSRTC Airavat bus from Bengaluru had a narrow  escape when the bus burst into flames near Rani Circle in Devanahalli on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday night. The passengers, who detected smoke and fire, cautioned the driver.

The driver stopped the bus immediately and cleared each one of the passenger. The bus (bearing registration number KA-57-F-212) was headed to Hyderabad when the fire broke out at around 10.30 pm near to the engine in the rear compartment of the bus.

The reason for the mishap is yet to be found out. The fire staff, alongside two fire tenders, rushed to the spot and doused the fire. Preliminary examinations likewise uncovered the possibility that the motor was not harmed at all because of the fire, as as within an hour, the bus driver resumed the journey in a similar bus with the passengers.
