KSRTC bus-car collision: At least 2 killed; several injured

Tumakuru: At least two people died and several others were injured in a ghastly road accident at Doddaguni in Gubbi here on Monday morning.

The accident took place at around 6.30 AM when a KSRTC bus hit an oncoming car. The KSRTC bus was on its way to Bengaluru from Tiptur whereas the car was moving towards Chikkanayakanahalli.

A young woman and another in the car died on the spot due to the impact, and three others are said to be critical, sources said.

More than 30 passengers on the KSRTC bus were also injured, sources added.

The identities of the deceased and injured were not immediately known.

Gubbi police visited the spot.
