KSRTC bus driver arrested for rape attempt

Bengaluru: A KSRTC was arrested at JP Park in Matthikere for attempting to rape a woman.
The accused has been identified as Shambu Mariyappagowdar. He was arrested on February 21 based on a complaint filed by the victim.
According to the complaint, the incident took place at around 11:30 am when she had gone to the park for a walk. The accused forcibly dragged her to a bush and attempted to rape her. The woman screamt for help and the passersby in the park chased Shambhu and caught him.
The accused is now out on bail.
