KSRTC buses plying via Madikeri-Mysuru route

Mangaluru: Movement of buses and trains via Shiradi Ghat route has been banned. In this backdrop, buses from KSRTC divisions at Mangaluru and Puttur proceeded via Madikeri-Mysuru route.

Excluding the sleeper class buses, all other types of buses have functioned from Mangaluru division. The AC sleeper coach did not leave since there were no passengers for that bus, informed KSRTC officials.

More than Rs 1 crore in losses

With heavy rains causing havoc throughout the coast, many routes to various destinations were cancelled and in this backdrop, KSRTC Mangaluru division has incurred a loss of more than Rs 51.38 lakh while the Puttur division is under a loss of more than Rs 51.02 lakh.
