KSRTC to soon launch ‘ICU on wheels’

Bengaluru: After the launch of  ‘oxygen-on-wheels’, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided to provide ‘ICU on wheels’ service.

It is said that a private organisation has joined hands with the KSRTC to provide trained medical personnel

The bus set to be unveiled by Wednesday, May 19 will be equipped with ventilators, ECG machines and other equipment.

Each bus will accommodate six patients and have four ventilators, ECG and other equipment that are required during an emergency.  Each bed will have oxygen supply with separate cylinders.

Two auxillary oxygen cylinders and a concentrator will provide backup and a  small electricity generator will also be placed on the bus.

The bus will help people in rural areas who are deprived of advanced   treatments in their villages
