Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced that the winter session of the State’s assembly is scheduled to be held from December 7 to 15.
The session will be held in Bengaluru instead of Belgaum, he added.
The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, November 18.
In the meeting, it was also decided to create the new district of Vijayanagar.
The establishment of the Maratha Development Corporation was also approved in the meeting instead of setting up the Maratha Development Authority.
After the meeting, the chief minister left for Delhi to meet the national leadership of the party to discuss about cabinet expansion.
