Bengaluru: State BJP’s core committee and executive meeting will be held in Shimoga on Saturday and Sunday.

State BJP in-charge Arun Singh has already arrived in the State to attend the meeting where the upcoming taluk and Zilla panchayat elections could be on the agenda.

Singh has said that there will be no change in the party leadership in the State and BS Yediyurappa will be the chief minister for another two years.

His statement comes in view of reports that Basanagouda Patil Yatnal could raise the issue of a leadership change during the meet.

The party’s national general secretary CT Ravi and CM Yediyurappa will attend the meeting along with 180 office-bearers of the State BJP including party’s district chiefs, ‘vibhag prabharis’ and others.
