Bengaluru: BJP has taken the lead in organizing district tours to rally against the state government even before the assembly session. Under the leadership of State President B. Vijayendra, a significant gathering is scheduled for June 27 at the party headquarters.
Previously, BJP had decided to conduct district tours to review the results of Lok Sabha election. However, this was deemed inconvenient by senior members. Therefore, it has been decided to carry out a fight against the state government, the form and style of which will be decided at the meeting.
According to BJP sources,Leader of Opposition R. Ashok, State President BY Vijayendra, Deputy President Aravind Bellad, Chief Executives V. Sunil Kumar, P. Rajeev, Nandish Reddy, Preetam Gowda, Senior Leaders Basangoud Patil Yatnal, Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan, Abhay Patil, Chief Secretary Dodda Nagoud Patil, Legislative Council Member C.T. Ravi, N. Ravikumar led by five groups are expected to be formed. The possibility of participation by MPs and central ministers is there.
Following the Congress government’s rise to power in the state, issues such as law and order problems, unemployment, and rural development programs have emerged, and information gathering is likely to take place during district tours. Based on this, BJP has decided to fight against the government in the assembly.
Senior leaders’ pressure
Many public grievances have been reported against the government due to rising prices and various issues. In such a situation, if BJP remains neutral, the feeling of a weak opposition emerges. Therefore, it has been decided to conduct a fight, which is appropriate for State President Vijayendra. Along with this, it has been learned that district travel has been organized for proving leadership.
