K’taka BJP leaders hail Modi’s decision to extend PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana

Bengaluru: State BJP leaders on Tuesday, June 30 hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to extend PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and said that the latter cares for every last person of the country.
Karnataka BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “PM Narendra Modi has extended the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana till November. This is a great decision made by our PM. This shows how much he cares for the poor.”
BJP MP Shobha said, “Free Ration for Poor Till November! A massive pro-poor announcement by PM Modi Ji. 80 Crore poor will receive the benefit! Modi Ji proves it again, that he cares for every last person of the country!”
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader BL Santhosh taking to Twitter wrote, ” PM Narendra Modi extended Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana today, even though it costs the government over Rs 90,00 crore. Together with the previous one, it will be of the size of Rs 1.5 lakh Crore. #ModiCARES4Poor”
“PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana will be expanded till Diwali and Chhat Puja till the end of November. 80 Cr people will get free rations till the end of November every month they will get 5 Kilo Wheat/Rice + each family will get 1 Kilo Chana. Rs 90000 Cr to be spent. PM Modi cares for the poor,” said MP Pratap Simha
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for a further five months till November-end for distributing free foodgrains to the poor.
The PM further said that the government will be spending an additional expenditure of Rs 90,000 crore to provide 5 kg rice or wheat and 1 kg gram every month to the poor.
He also highlighted that the free distribution of foodgrains to 80 crore people in India could feed 2.5 times the US population, 12 times the UK population and, twice the European Union’s population.
