K’taka Congress launches ‘Congress Vision 2023’ website

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Congress unveiled its party manifesto website “Congress Vision 2023”, here at its state headquarters on Thursday.

The website was launched by the Chairperson of the KPCC Manifesto, Policy, and Vision Committee 2023, Dr. G Parameshwar.

Addressing the media Dr. Parameshwar said, “It is very important to inform people about the work that we’ll do if we come to power. The promises that we make to the people of the state are all achievable.”

“In the year 2013, we had incorporated 160 achievable programmes in the manifesto, out of which, some have been achieved while in power including the ‘Anna Bhagya’ and other industrial developments. We have kept our word”, he added.

Further, he said, “The party has made be the chairperson of the manifesto committee. To adhere to the wishes of the youth, Madhu Bangarappa has been included in the committee. Professor Radhakrishna has also joined us. The intention of launching the website is to bring in a difference in public approach. By understanding the pulse of the people, the programmes will be included in the manifesto. We have decided to implement the public reachout programme in several ways, which includes the website too. People can send their suggestions to us, even through letters.”

“We have decided to address and highlight five important issues. They are youth-related issues, women-related issues, reservations for women in local bodies, issues related to ASHA, Anganwadi workers and self-help groups will be addressed, and have decided to concentrate on the field of education, agriculture, and health sectors. The rural sector will be one of our main focuses. Similarly, drinking water facilities, electricity, basic resources, and traffic congestion issue in Bengaluru will be specifically addressed. Hence, a separate manifesto for Bengaluru will be rolled out”, he added.
