K’taka Congress leaders urge BJP to #LetCongressVaccinate

Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress lashed out at the BJP government for being slow in procuring vaccines and are requesting the government to let Karnataka Congress procure vaccines directly from vaccine companies.
Several Congress leaders took to Twitter and urged the Chief Minister of Karnataka to let them procure vaccines using Hashtag #LetCongressVaccinate.
Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah wrote, “Experts have pointed that vaccination is the only way to prevent further waves of pandemic. It is unfortunate that PM has done little to procure vaccines. We from Congress have a plan to fund ₹100 Cr+ for procurement. I urge BS Yediyurappa to #LetCongressVaccinate.”

KPCC President DK Shivakumar wrote, ” I request Congress workers to make the people aware of how vaccination can defeat Covid, how the government has been slow in procuring vaccines, and how the Karnataka Congress has a proposal to directly procure vaccines, if only the government would let us.”

In another tweet, he wrote,” The slow pace of Covid vaccination in Karnataka is literally killing people. I reiterate my request to the central government to let Karnataka Congress at least try to procure vaccines directly from vaccine companies. I once again urge the Karnataka government to keep politics aside and let Congress MLAs and MLCs use their development funds to directly procure and administer vaccines.”

Other Congress leaders like RVDeshpande, SR Patil, Eshwar Khandre and Ramalinga Reddy also urged the government to allow Congress to vaccinate the people of the state.
