K’taka COVID-19 update: 4752 new cases; 4776 discharges; 98 deaths

Bengaluru: 4,752 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the State during the 24-hour period from the evening of Sunday, August 2 to the evening of Monday, August 3.

4,776 people recovered and were discharged from hospitals and 98 COVID-19 deaths occurred during the same period.

Districts that reported a high number of COVID-19 cases include Bengaluru Urban (1,497), Mysuru (372), Ballari (305), Bagalkot (209), Dharwad (191), Kalaburagi (170), Koppal (157), Shimoga (155), Dakshina Kannada (153), Mandya (152), Hassan (131), Udupi (126), Tumkur (122), Raichur (115) and Gadag (92).

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the State now stands at 1,39,571 of which 74,469 are presently active and total deaths increasing to 2,594.
