K’taka COVID-19 update: 5536 new cases, 102 deaths; B’luru-1898, Udupi-109

Bengaluru: 5,536 new COVID-19 cases were reported across the State on July 28 raising the total to 1,07,001.

102 COVID-19 deaths were also reported on the same day. The total death count in the State now stands at 2,055.

Additionally, 2,819 people were discharged from the hospitals after recovery.

Presently, there are 64,434 active cases in the State.

Bengaluru Urban district has again reported most COVID-19 cases with 1,898 positives detected on the same day.

Other districts with high case reports include Ballari (452), Kalaburagi (283), Belagavi (228), Mysuru (220), Tumakuru (207), Kolar (174), Dharwad (173), Vijaypura (153), Koppala (144), Davanagere (135), Bagalakote (115), Udupi (109), Hassan (108), Bengaluru Rural (107) and Ramnagara (101).
