K’taka COVID-19 update: 7571 new cases; 6561 discharges; 93 deaths on Aug 20

Bengaluru: On August 20, 7,571 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the State along with 6,561 discharges of recovered persons and 93 deaths due to the virus.

Presently, there are 83,066 active cases of COVID-19 in the State out of which 698 cases are admitted in Intensive Care Units.

The total COVID-19 cases in the State has increased to 2,64,546.

Bengaluru Urban district has continued its record of being the highest contributor of COVID-19 cases in the State with 2,94 8 cases reported in the same day.

Other districts with high cases include Ballari (540), Belagavi (384), Udupi (278), Yadgiri (255), Dharwad (252), Davanagere (237), Shivamogga (227), Koppala (234), Haveri (224), Gadag (174), Kalaburagi (145), Hassan (144), Tumkur (136), Bagalakote (115), Chikkamagalur (102) and Raichur (100).
