K’taka COVID-19 update: 8161 new cases; 6814 discharges; 148 deaths on Aug 24

Bengaluru: 8,161 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the State on August 24. 6,814 people were discharged after recovering from the virus and 148 deaths due to the virus also occurred during the same day.

Presently, the COVID-19 tallies in the State stand at 2,91,826 total cases and 4,958 total COVID-19 deaths.

Active COVID-19 cases in the State stands at 82,410 out of which 751 are admitted in Intensive Care Units.

The district-wise incidences of COVID-19 are: Bengaluru Urban 2,294; Mysuru (from past 4 days) 1331; Ballari 551; Davanagere 318; Belagavi 298; Shivamogga 276; Dakshina Kannada 247; Koppala 238; Kalaburagi 227; Tumakuru 223; Udupi 217; Hassana 205; Dharwada 204; Gadag 175; Mandya 153; Uttara Kannada 141; Vijayapura 135 and Yadagiri 132.
