K’taka COVID-19 update: 8818 new cases; 6629 discharges; 114 deaths on Ind Day

Bengaluru: 8,818 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from across the State till midnight of August 14, increasing the total tally in the State to 2,19,926.

6,629 discharges of recovered patients and 114 COVID-19 deaths also occurred in the same period.

The tallies in the State now are 81,276 active cases and 3,831 total COVID-19 deaths.

Bengaluru Urban district again topped in the number of cases reported at 3,495.

Other districts with high cases include Ballari (759), Mysuru (635), Belagavi (358), Davanagere (327), Dakshina Kannada (271), Udupi (241), Dharwad (239), Vijayapura (232), Kalaburagi (189), Koppala (178), Bagalakote (168), Tumakuru (161), Raichur (155), Hassana (154), Bengaluru Rural (152), Gadag (142), Shivamogga (133), Haveri (116) and Bidar (113).
