K’taka COVID-19 update: 9058 new cases; 5159 discharges, 135 deaths on Aug 31

Bengaluru: On August 31, 9,058 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from across the State. On the same day, 5,159 people who recovered from the virus were discharged from hospitals and 135 people succumbed to the virus.

The COVID-19 tally in the State now stands at 3,51,481 total cases out of which 5,837 patients have died till date.

90,999 cases are presently active in the State out of which 762 are admitted to Intensive Care Units.

High incidences of COVID-19 cases were reported from districts of Bengaluru Urban 2,967, Mysuru 737, Hassana 461, Ballari 393, Dakshina Kannada 352, Tumakuru 327, Belagavi 316, Davanagere 289, Raichuru 245, Shivamogga 233, Kalaburagi 220, Chikkamagaluru 210, Dharwad 199, Mandya 197, Koppala 195, Gadag 194, Chitradurga 164, Udupi 161, Haveri 153, Bengaluru Rural 145, Yadagiri 142, Bagalakote 136, Uttara Kannada 114 and Chikkaballapura 106.
