K’taka COVID-19 update: 9860 new cases; 6287 discharges; 113 deaths on Sept 1

Bengaluru: On September 1, with 9,860 new cases, the State has recorded its highest single-day count of COVID-19 cases till date and raised the total tally of the State to 3,61,341.

On the same day, 6,287 recovered people were discharged from hospitals and 113 succumbed to the virus.

Presently, active cases in the State are 94,459 out of which 751 are in Intensive Care Units.

Bengaluru Urban district reported the highest cases at 3,420.

Other districts that reported high incidences of COVID-19 cases on the same day include Mysuru 667, Belagavi 470, Ballari 433, Dakshina Kannada 414, Tumakuru 357, Shivamogga 342, Dharwad 327, Davanagere 321, Hassana 290, Koppala 282, Mandya 245, Raichuru 232, Kalaburagi 194, Chitradurga 174, Udupi 169, Haveri 149, Uttara Kannada 126, Vijayapura 122, Chikkamagaluru 117, Yadagiri 106 and Chikkaballapura 100.
